Okaloosa’s corporate community has sustained the Habitat for Humanity Okaloosa County ministry through the home sponsorship program. Many socially concerned corporations have led the way with their continued generosity and together, we have built more than 58 homes since 1991. Some of the corporate champions who have helped us provide quality, affordable housing to deserving, hardworking families include:
- Gulf Power
- Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
- Lee Automotive Group
- Beach Community Bank
- The Boeing Company
- Allen Turner Chevrolet
These philanthropic corporations and countless more have provided the financial capital and volunteer labor of employees, who have built alongside home buyers helping to promote positive change for Okaloosa area families.
Full sponsorship for a Habitat for Humanity Okaloosa County home is a minimum gift of $50,000, and there are options to partner with other local companies who all contribute a portion of the total. Sponsorship also creates the opportunity for organizations to join volunteers to construct the home over 4-6 months. Volunteers are guided by Habitat for Humanity Okaloosa County professionals, all of whom are specially trained in the Habitat experience. The elements of the build include tasks from framing and hardy board siding to painting and landscaping. The volunteer experience provides an excellent opportunity for team building, as well as promoting your company’s commitment to helping families in our community.
Our team will work with you to design a sponsorship package to specifically match your giving interests. We also accept in-kind donations of construction materials, professional development activities, homeowner education programs, special event needs and administrative functions. Your gift increases Habitat’s ability to reach more families in need of quality, affordable housing.
