Habitat for Humanity Okaloosa County is a volunteer driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build affordable, safe homes in partnership with families in need. Community volunteers play an essential role in our mission of eliminating substandard housing in Okaloosa County. Community volunteers can help in one or more of the following ways.

Habitat Okaloosa raises funds and reaches out in the community through the year. Check our Events page for any upcoming opportunities that you may be interested in volunteering for.

Construction Volunteers

Come work on the job-site to assist and learn building skills with our construction managers. We build our Habitat homes on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the entire year. No skills required to join in to help! Learn how to get on the volunteer list to make a difference in our local neighborhoods.

ReStore Volunteers

Are you interested in helping Habitat but are not interested in the building job-site. Come help at our retail location in Fort Walton Beach with preparing donations for display, donation pick-ups, customer assistance and general help at the store. Take a look at the different volunteer positions available at the ReStore.

The job-site for Home # 50 is currently booked through May. We appreciate your interest in volunteering, however until a secondary site is started we are unable to place any more volunteers at this Habitat site.

An alternative location for volunteers to lend a hand to Habitat is to coordinate a group to help at the ReStore. The ReStore is a retail operation that helps raise much needed funding for the construction of future Habitat homes in our area.
